GLOUCESTERSHIRE BREAST CARE SERVICE A FIRST FOR COREVISION
The service has recently moved into its new purpose built facility in Cheltenham. “Although the new facility is just across the road from our previous site, it is simply worlds apart in terms of what we have and the level of service we can provide” comments Caroline Dobson, Lead Superintendant Radiographer. Caroline adds “Now, we can provide stereotactic, screening and a symptomatic service all under the one roof. We have the very latest and best equipment on site not least of which is our Bioptics CoreVision unit.
Debbie Barnes, Deputy Superintendant Radiographer, says “The little CoreVision enables us to determine, very quickly, the presence of micro-calcification during core biopsy procedures and, in its own small way, contributes to the overall efficiency of our service”.
