Royal Bolton Chooses Bioptics
Royal Bolton Hospital has chosen the Bioptics Digital Specimen Radiography System for its Breast Unit.
As Programme Manager, Claire Mercer explains, “The compact design of the Bioptics, together with the speed of acquisition of the very high quality images for core biopsy are real benefits to our operations here. Additionally, Automatic Exposure Control and the ‘back up’ service that DAAX Ltd will provide are essential for the smooth running of our service.
The purchase was made using charitable funds. “Major donations were gratefully received from the Mayor of Bolton, Mistry Brothers and Eagley Pike Ladies Rounders Team amongst many others in order that we could purchase the Bioptics” added Claire.The Bioptics is situated within the mammography suite where it is used by Advanced Practitioners and Radiologists for stereo and biopsy procedures.Trevor Mitchell, of DAAX Ltd. commented “It was great news to receive the order from the Royal Bolton. We look forward to the Bioptics making a valuable contribution to the Breast Unit’s work”.
